About

Stephanie McGoldrick, NCIDQ, IDEC, ASID, IIDA, LEED AP BD+C is an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She teaches courses that range from lighting design to design studios and professional practice courses.  Professor McGoldrick has successfully integrated experiential learning opportunities and service-learning into many of her classes, with projects that range from lighting enhancements in New Bedford, MA park spaces to design proposals to support small businesses. Her experiential lighting teaching methods and universal design initiatives have been featured at presentations before the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) national conferences and various local forums, and in 2023, she received UMass Dartmouth’s Manning Prize for Excellence in Teaching.
