About

Marta del Pozo holds a PhD in Spanish literature from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University. Her research brings posthumanist and ecopoetic lenses to hybrid literary pieces, documentaries and different forms of performativity from Spain and Latin American culture. Her articles have appeared in the International Journal of Iberian Studies, Bulletin of Spanish Visual Studies, Hispania, The Latin Americanist and Hispanófila amongst others. She was awarded the Antonio Gala International poetry prize for Hambre de imágenes (2015) and the Iberoamerican Poetry Award Entreversos for Nigredo (2017) and has translated into Spanish the poetry of Richard Jackson, Robert Bringhurst, Leonard Schwartz, James Joyce and Jenny Xie, amongst others. She is Associate Professor at the department of Global Languages and Cultures at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and the founding editor of Quantum Prose, New York.
