Abstract
Theatrical storytelling is an inherent part of human culture and an integral part of my artistic practice. Mixing my understanding of fiber arts and theatrical storytelling, I have worked to recreate natural textures. An original score and mix of handmade marionette and rod puppets tell the story of a hero’s epic journey through trials and isolation, while a 23-yard-long fabric mural serves as the visual anchor for the narrative, inviting the audience to capture the full body experience of childhood.
