Abstract
Video games are a rapidly growing medium not only for entertainment, but for education as well. Their interactive nature allows for more hands-on experience and facilitates something called implicit learning. Implicit learning is a form of learning where the learner is learning without ever realizing that they are doing so. This form of learning allows the tasks to become deeply engrained in the learner, making it extremely effective. Additionally, there are a great deal of skills with ranging complexities that can be learned this way. Furthermore, when combined with immersive technologies such as VR, the effectiveness of implicit learning is further enhanced. This paper aims to explain the possible uses of implicit learning through games as well as the possible improvements to immersive technology that could broaden the range of skills that can be learned through games. The culmination of these ideas will then be presented as a game concept that is meant to serve as a proof of concept for the viability of these ideas in a practical setting.
