Abstract

Wood-engraving -- Technique. Wood-engraving -- Printing. Block-printing -- Technique.
Trauma holds different interpretations to its survivors. The nature of trauma recovery is complicated, yet there is one process that is shared by all: human resilience.I strongly believe creating art using human experiences and emotion is paramount. It is reflected in the research of a multiplicity of artists and my own work, fueled by working around crisis and emotional intensity. If the medium communicates the message, the medium should be mandated to do so. I am the artist who will take this mandate and convey the message of human resilience through figurative printmaking and drawing.
