Abstract

Animation (Cinematography) Animated films
Animation is a medium of possibilities with a power to bring the metaphysical to life. We travel to different worlds in animated stories and realms, experiencing wondrous new things. According to Norman McClaren, what happens between each frame is more important than what happens on the frame. 1 Animation’s kinesthetic energy brings “life” to the abstract, to the lines and forms on the page and to the screen. It is in that gesture of movement that we can be lost and free to enter a space of our own creation. And that’s what this is—a new journey into a space of my own creation.
