Abstract
Silver Lining is a concept art book that explores the development of a fictional world featuring Delmare and her family. The book explores a combination of the natural world that surrounds the family’s village as well as some of the region’s culture. Being inspired by real world traditions such as the Māori people’s face tattoos to the Uros people’s floating islands that they call home. The book shares concept art of the main character’s within Delmare’s life as well as Delmare herself, reflecting on their personalities and dynamic to one and other. It also outlines the process of creating a 3D model of Delmare from concept art through the entire modeling pipeline all the way to rigging and rendering the model. For this project I used software such as ZBrush and Blender for 3D modeling and Procreate for 2-D all the concept sketches of both the world and the characters.
