Abstract
With limited traditional training in digital photography and graphic design, I was assigned the task of developing two newly offered digital arts courses, Digital Imaging II: Digital Photography and Graphic Design, at Middleboro High School, in Middleboro Massachusetts. In this study, action research was used in order to select and refine course curriculum to better structure learning activities and sequencing of content. The goal was to facilitate the desired learning objectives, while meeting key state and national arts standards and the needs of my students. An extensive literature review was conducted prior to the study to inform the content and structure of the curriculum, as well as look as best practices and learning strategies for integrating technology in the art classroom.
