Abstract
This thesis describes the creation of an AI chatbot that responds to questions from students without regard to the context. The chatbot’s adaptability and user-friendliness in a range of academic contexts are ensured by its ability to function without explicit references to particular situations, such as the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. One of the chatbot’s primary features is the strong system for gathering user feedback on the caliber of responses. This feedback is crucial for the continuous improvement of the chatbot’s performance. Additionally, the system incorporates a comprehensive administrative dashboard that allows administrators to monitor various metrics, such as the number of questions answered and user engagement statistics. The chatbot’s conversation history feature is one of the key features of this project. Users can access their previous interactions with this feature, which makes it simple to refer back to inquiries and responses from the past. This improves the user experience overall by offering a tailored and effective help tool. To ensure the chatbot’s dependability and efficacy, extensive testing and iterative improvements based on user input were incorporated into the development process. By providing a scalable solution that can be tailored to different academic environments and user needs, the adoption of this chatbot seeks to streamline student support services. This project demonstrates how AI-driven technologies can revolutionize support systems for higher education.
