Abstract
This qualitative study aims to understand the perspectives of artists and art educators on the topic of accessibility for people with disabilities. Data were collected using interviews that were analyzed for themes using in vivo coding. Drawing on existing literature the author made connections which supported current trends in art education and disability studies. The following themes emerged from the data: Benefits of Access to Art Making; Educators Making Adjustments and Addressing Individualization; and Improvements that could be made inaccessibility in art education. Recommendations at the end of the study suggest additional case study research for a broader perspective and generalization.
