Evaluation tools to assess student informatics competencies (Foreman et al, 2020) Staggers et al. outlined informatics competencies for nursing within four mastery levels (2002), Hunter at al. TIGER-based Assessment of Nursing Informatics Competencies (TANIC) -practicing nurses' informatics skills across various settings Yoon et al. original 93-item Self-Assessment of Nursing Informatics Competencies Scale (SANICS) (2009): measure informatics competencies for both nurses and nursing students Revised to 18 items - SANICS 18 (Yoon et al., 2015). Used and adapted by multiple teams and institutions: Almarwani and Yacoub: impact of a 2-day informatics competencies educational program (2022) Bove and Sauer: nursing faculty's informatics competencies and identify barriers to teaching informatics (2023).
