Abstract
This chapter details the educational model used at a university called Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV) in northern India. This model represents the Eastern ideas and practices that inform embodied education, which is the theoretical framework for this book. DSVV’s unique model prepares students to be change-makers in the world. We describe the unique philosophy and vision of Pandit Sriram Sharma, and how his grandson Dr. Chinmay Pandya, as Pro Vice Chancellor at DSVV, carries on the legacy and vision of his grandfather. To capture the essence of DSVV’s educational approaches, we draw upon each of our own lived experiences at DSVV, interviews with Pandya, as well as reflections from other professors and students who have visited this unique university.
